Summary of Case:	"Joshua Nathaniel Friend was wrongly convicted of possession of less than one gram of cocaine in Galveston County, Texas. Joshua Friend pled guilty and was sentenced to 60 days in jail. After Friend was released the substance seized from him was tested by the crime lab and it did not contain any cocaine. Friend filed a habeas corpus petition to withdraw his guilty plea as involuntary because it was not knowingly and voluntarily entered, because he did not possess a full understanding of the law in relation to the facts at the time of his plea.
