Summary of Case: |
"Francisco Garcia was wrongly convicted in 1913 of manslaughter. Garcia was sentenced to 7 to 8 years in prison. In 1915 New Mexico's appeals court reversed his conviction, saying it was "physically impossible for him to be guilty of" of the crime. He was convicted when "there is, not only no evidence to support the verdict, but where it supported his innocence." (MJ, 116)" |
