Summary of Case:	"Mariann Gardner was wrongly convicted in 2010 of committing disorderly conduct in 2009 in Weymouth, Massachusetts. She was convicted on the testimony of a Weymouth police officer that she refused to follow instructions and turned toward him with her fists clenched. Gardner was sentenced to six months incarceration, with her serving fifteen days and the balance suspended for eighteen months dependent on her good behavior. After a week at MCI-Framingham she was ordered released pending the outcome of her appeal. On July 2, 2013 the Massachusetts Court of Appeal vacated Gardner's conviction and ordered her acquittal based on the prosecution's failure to introduce sufficient evidence of her guilt."
