Summary of Case:	"Gary Gauger was wrongly convicted in 1993 of murder. Gauger's prosecution was based on his false confession to murdering his parents on April 8, 1993, after 18 straight hours of interrogation. After his conviction by a jury Gauger was sentenced to death. While Gauger was on death row the actual perpetrator was identified and confessed. Gauger was released after three years on death row. He was pardoned by Illionois Governor George Ryan in December 2002. Gauger filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against McHenry County and several police officers. In August 2009 a federal court jury rejected all of Gauger's claims and awarded him no money."
