Summary of Case:	"Robert Gayol was one of four co-defendants wrongly convicted of the 1997 murder of Sindulfo Miranda. Convictions reversed in December 2002. Three of the four men filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the city of Chicago, and he was awarded $740,000 in damages in February 2006. Robert Gayol was pardoned on the basis of his innocence by Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich in July 2008. Gayol was awarded $134,901 wrongful imprisonment compensation by the State of Illinois in 2010."
