"Joey Diaz Gonzalez was wrongly convicted of possession of a controlled substance in Harris County, Texas. Finch was sentenced to 10 months in prison. A post-conviction analysis of the substance showed that the substance in his possession was a United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved substance. Based on the new evidence Gonzalez filed a habeas corpus petition that the trial judge recommended by granted. On September 21, 2016 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals granted Gonzalez' petition."
