"Bob Graham was wrongly convicted in 2006 of cashing in $31,129 in sick leave payments without getting approval from the Wyoming County Council on Aging while serving as the agency's director. After serving 13 months in prison his conviction was overturned in March 2008 on the basis of insufficient evidence by the federal 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. He was released. In July 2008 Graham filed a claim for compensation with the U.S. Court of Claims under the federal wrongful conviction compensation statute that provides for up to $50,000 per year of wrongful imprisonment." |
