"Iftikhar Ali Haideri was wrongly convicted on January 10, 2017 of bribery for allegedly taking a Rs4 million bribe from the owner of Safa Gold Mall on November 30, 2015. Haideri was arrested on December 23, 2015, and denied bail. Iftikhar Haideri was the CDA Deputy Director Estate Management. In January 2018 an Islamabad High Court bench of Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani set aside Haideri's conviction on the basis the prosecution failed to introduce sufficient evidence to prove he was guilty." |
