"Deborah Hall was wrongly convicted on June 19, 2014 of stealing £200 from an envelope sent to a prisoner at Stafford Prison on December 24, 2013 where the 53-year-old Hall had worked for eight years as a guard in the mail room. The prosecution's case was circumstantial. In July 2014 Hall's conviction was quashed by the Stafford Crown Court on the basis the prosecution's wholly circumstantial case was insuficient to prove her guilt."
