Summary of Case:	"Majid Saleh, 71, and Hussain Hamid, 21, were father and son codefendants wrongly convicted in December 2012 of inapporopriately touching a fully clothed nine-year-old girl and offering her money for a sex act before she walked away from them. The prosecution's case was based on the video-link testimony of the girl about the incident, which both defendants denied occurred. After their conviction by a jury the judge described the conduct testified about by the girl as "a precursor to sexual grooming." and sentenced both men to two years imprisonment. After their convictions the men and their families claimed the false accusations by the girl were motivated by “other considerations” of adults in her life. On July 30, 2014 England's Court of Appeal granted the men's appeal -- after they had served their sentences -- and quashed their convictions on the basis the judge had improperly instructed the jury."
