"Michael Ray Hanline was wrongly convicted of murder of a murder committed in 1978 in Ventura County, California. After Hanline's conviction by a jury he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In April 2015 the charges were dismissed against Hanline after a Ventury County judge granted the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office motion to dismiss that asserted that while the office believed Hanline's guilt was supported by probable cause, it couldn't be proven to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt."
