"Omar Harris was wrongly convicted of drug related charges in Hampden County, Harris pled guilty based on the "Drug Certification" by chemist Sonja Farak when she worked at the Massachusetts State Crime Laboratory in Amherst. In January 2014 Farak pled guilty to a number of charges, including tampering with evidence at the crime lab. Harris filed a post-conviction petition to withdraw his guilty plea and vacate his conviction based on the new evidence of Faraks' misconduct. On June 26, 2017 Hampden Superior Court Judge Richard Carey granted Harris' post-conviciton motion and ordered dismissal of his charges. "
