Summary of Case:

"Alan Hedgecock was a co-defendant of Charles James Dyer and Robert Mayers. All three men were convicted in February 2007 of conspiracy to commit rape of two underage girls they chatted with online. The men never did anything other than chat with the girls online. The three men were sentenced to indeterminate terms of imprisonment. On November 26, 2007 the Criminal Court of Appeal for England and Wales quashed the conspiracy convictions of all three men on the grounds that they did nothing to further a conspiracy -- they simply chatted online."
