"Fang Hong was wrongly convicted in April 2011 of mocking a Communist Party official in Chongqing, China. Hong was sentenced to one year in a labor camp. After Bo Xilai was disgraced, Hong filed an appeal. An appeals court overturned Hong's conviction on June 29, 2012 on the basis of insufficient evidence he committed a crime. After his exoneration Hong filed a lawsuit seeking an apology and 360,000 yuan (HK$440,000) in compensation for psychological suffering, but it was dismissed on August 29, 2013."
