Summary of Case:	"Wong Chi Hong was wrongly convicted of being involved in a conspiracy to export cargo from Hong Kong to mainland China that had not been manifested. There was no direct evidence that Hong was involved in a known smuggling ring, but his vehicle had been seen three times at the building where the ring was headquartered and his conviction was based on the assumption he was involved. On October 13, 2011 Hong Kong's Court of Final Appeal set aside Hong's conviction on the basis that Hong's guilt had been impermissibly based on inferences of his involvement in the smuggling ring without any evidence supporting those inferences, only the assumption he was involved."
