"Elton Houston was codefendant of Robert Brown. Victims of eyewitness error and prosecutorial misconduct of withholding evidence. Houston and Brown filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the prosecutors who withheld evidence and several Chicago Police Department officers. Eventually the City of Chicago agreed to settle their lawsuits for $1,100,000 each in 1993. The State of Illinois paid Houston $120,300 in wrongful imprisonment compensation."
