Summary of Case:	"Anthony Hunt was wrongly convicted in November 2003 by a 10-2 majority jury verdict after a two week trial of allegedly raping a woman in 1995. Anthony Hunt was sentenced to four years imprisonment. Hunt's conviction was quashed in November 2005 by the UK's Criminal Appeal Court, on the basis of new evidence that no rape occurred. Hunt was wrongly imprisoned for 23 months. In May 2007 Hunt filed a lawsuit against the woman for maliciously prosecuting him for rape by her false accusation. Hunt claimed that she prosecuted him by giving a witness statement to police in 2002 and by agreeing to give evidence against him. His suit demanded 300,000 in damages. On October 30, 2008 a High Court judge dismissed Hunt's lawsuit, ruling that she did not prosecute the case, so she did not maliciously prosecute him."
