Summary of Case:	"Mazhar Hussain was wrongly convicted in 1997 of murdering Ismail Hussain in 1997 in Sihala, Pakista. Sihala is located in the Islamabad Capital Territory of Pakistan. Mazhar was sentenced to death. Mazhar died from cardiac arrest in 2014 while imprisoned. Pakistan's Supreme Court was not informed of Mazhar's death and heard his appeal. The Court was belatedly informed of Mazhar's's death. On October 6, 2016 the Supreme Court posthumously acquitted Hussain. The Court ruled that Mazhar's conviction was based on false testimony, and the trial judge erred by not fully reviewing the facts. In announcing the decision, a judge asked rhetorically who was responsible for the 17 years that Mazhar had spent wrongly imprisoned."
