Summary of Case:	"Kenneth Ireland was wrongly convicted in November 1989 of burglary, rape and felony murder in the 1986 death of a woman in Wallingford, Connecticut. Kenneth Ireland told the judge at sentencing he was at home asleep at the time of the crime, and he was framed. The judge sentenced Ireland to 50 years in prison. In 2009 Ireland was excluded by DNA testing unavailable at the time of his trial. On August 5, 2009 Ireland's conviction was vacated and he was released on bond pending the prosecution's decision of whether to dismiss the charges. Kenneth Ireland filed a claim under Connecticut's wrongful imprisonment compensation law, and on January 29, 2015 he was awarded $6 million by the Connecticut claims commissioner."
