Tony Jones was sentenced to 23 years in prison. Jones' conviction was after his third trial, after two trials ended in a hung jury. For the third trial, Jones was tried with two other men, who were also convicted. On November 27, 2007 the Virginia Court of Appeals overturned Jones' conviction on the basis that there was insufficient evidence to support his conviction, and ordered his release from custody."
