"Ilija Jurisic was wrongly convicted on September 29, 2009 of war crimes committed on May 15, 1992 during the conflict between Bosnia and Serbia. Ilija Jurisic was sentenced to 12 years in prison. On October 22, 2010, the Belgrade Appeals Court overturned Jurisic's conviction and ordered his release pending a possible retrial. Jurisic was arrested at the Belgrade airport on May 14, 2007, so he was in custody for 3 years and 5 months before his release."
