"Wrongly convicted in 2004 of raping a 13-year-old member of his Apostolic Church sect in Zimbabwe. Lawrence Katsiru was sentenced to 9 years in prison. During his May 2007 hearing in Zimbabwe's High Court the prosecution conceded there was insufficient evidence to uphold Katsiru's conviction. Zimbabwe's High Court ordered Katsiru's release on May 31, 2007, and two months later overturned his conviction and sentence in August 2007 based on insufficiency of the evidence.
