Summary of Case:	"Lisa Keen was wrongly convicted in January 2007 of manslaughter in the 2005 death of a friend who died of a heroin overdose. Lisa Keen helped the man prepare a syringe of heroin that the man died from after he injected it. She pled guilty based on case law at the time that her action was criminal and she was sentenced to three years imprisonment. Her sentence was reduced on appeal to two years. After her sentence was reduced, a Court of Appeal case made someone who helps someone prepare or procure the drugs the person injects or ingests not criminally responsible if that person subsequently dies. Keen filed an appeal and in April 2008 the Court of Appeal quashed her conviction with no retrial. She was released after a year and four months of wrongful imprisonment."
