"Rafiq Khan was wrongly convicted on April 29, 1992 of receiving stolen property. Conviction quashed in July 2006 based on lack of proof that Khan knew the property in his possession was stolen. The property had been stolen from a car almost three years earlier, in October 1989. Khan had served three months of his sentence before he was released pending outcome of his appeal."
