Summary of Case:	"Stuart Kidd was wrongly convicted on July 3, 1996 of a killing at his wedding in 1996. Kidd was sentenced to seven years imprisonment. Kidd was released in 2000 after 4-1/2 years imprisonment. Kidd submitted an application to Scotland's Criminal Case Review Commission (SCCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Kidd's case was referred by the SCCRC on October 14, 2002 to the Scotland's Court of Appeal based on the discovery the prosecution concealed exculpatory witness statements. On December 10, 2004 the appeals court quashed Stuart Kidd's convictions. In February 2005 the charges against him were dismissed."
