Summary of Case:

"Thomas Kimbell Jr. was wrongly convicted and sentenced to death for the 1994 murder of four family members. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned his conviction in 2000, because the trial judge had excluded evidence that the husband of one of the victims was known to have been at the scene of the crime shortly before it occurred. Kimbell proclaimed his innocence from the time of his arrest, and after his retrial, he was acquitted of all charges on May 3, 2002."
