Edith King was wrongly convicted on 8/30/2007 of a contravention of section 50a(1) of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) Act 1995. King submitted an application to Scotland's Criminal Case Review Commission (SCCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. King's case was referred by the SCCRC on 5/9/2011 to Scotland's Court of Appeal. On 10/27/2011 the appeals court quashed Edith King's convictions.
