Summary of Case:	"Seeta Kishore was wrongly convicted of fraud for treating two cousins for acne and other facial conditions in 2000 and 2001. Seeta Kishore was a Doctor of Cosmotology, and the cousins told her they were not satisfied with their treatments. After she refused to give the cousins a refund they filed a criminal complaint against her. She was prosecuted on the prosecution's contention that the cousins only paid her because they thought she was a medical doctor. She was convicted after a bench trial and sentenced to 1 year imprisonment and a $20,000 fine. Kishore appealded and on June 4, 2009 the Trinidad and Tobago Court of Appeal overturned her conviction on the basis that Kishore had never represented herself as a doctor of medicine, and therefore she had not committed fraud."
