Summary of Case:

Eric Kittler was wrongly convicted of robbery and murder based on a confession contrived by detectives that they attributed to Kittler. An appeals court reversed Kittler's conviction in 2002 and the charges were dismissed. Eric Kittler filed a federal civil rights lawsuit and the City of Chicago and several Chicago PD officers. In October 2006 Chicago agreed to a $2 million settlement of the suit.
