"John Henry Knapp was wrongly convicted in 1976 of first-degree murder in the burning his two daughters to death in East Mesa, Arizaona on November 16, 1973. After his conviction John Knapp was sentenced to death. Knapp's conviction was overturned in 1992 and he was released. Knapp's conviction was based resulted from faulty scientific testimony and testing, erroneous eyewitness testimony and prosecutorial misconduct of destroying exculpatory evidence."
