Summary of Case:

"Zoran Kupreskic was co-defendant of Mirjan Kupreskic and Vlatko Kupreskic. All three voluntarily surrendered in 1997 and were kept in custody. Wrongly convicted in January 2000 of crimes against humanity committed in 1993 during a Croat assault on the central Bosnian vilage of Ahmici during which 116 unarmed Muslims were killed. Sentenced to ten years in prison. Conviction quashed by a United Nations appeals court on October 23, 2001, based on determination that the evidence of guilt lacked credibility. Released after four years of wrongful imprisonment."
