Summary of Case:	"Guy Lafleur was wrongly convicted of perjury in June 2009 in Montreal when he gave contradictory testimony at the trial of his son Mark Lafleur for probation violations. Mark was convicted of 23 charges related ot drugs, impaired driving and assault, and he was sentenced to serve 15 months of house arrest at his parents' house. Lafleur was convicted of perjury for failing to inform authorities that his son spent two nights in a motel room with his girlfriend. Lafleur, a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, was sentenced to one year on probation, a CAN$100 fine, and to make a CAN$10,000 charitable donation. Lafleur was acquitted on appeal by the Quebec Court of Appeals on August 17, 2010, on the basis Lafleur believed his son's curfew applied to the hours he couldn't be out, and not the location."
