Summary of Case: |
"Colin Lattimore was a co-defendant of Ronald Leighton & Ahmet Salih. All three were teenagers who falsely confessed and signed false confessions related to an arson and murder of 26 year-old Maxwell Confait after hours of police interrogation and no consultation of the boys with an attorney. Two of the boys were illiterate and of very low intelligence and the third boy spoke English as a second language. The three defendants were exonerated in November 1975. In 1979, 4 years after the boys were exonerated, two other people confessed to the murder and confirmed the innocence of the boys." |
