On February 5, 2020 the Supreme Court of Western Australia quashed Le-Ta's conviction and ordered his acquittal on the basis the prosecution failed to introduce sufficient evidence at trial to prove his guilt of handling the suitcase of cocaine beyond a reasonable doubt."
