Summary of Case:	"Neil Leach was wrongly convicted in 2014 of the aggraved indecent assault of a 16-year-old girl boarding at his house in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in 2013. The girl was one of four boarding at his house while attending the Girls College in Bulawayo. Leach's conviction of an assault on three separate occasions was solely based on the testimony of the girl. Leach was sentenced to 25 years with 5 years suspended pending good behavior. Leach appealed on November 4, 2014. In October 2015 the Bulawayo High Court quashed Leach's conviction on the basis his conviction was based on the uncorroborated inconsistent testimony of the girl. The appeals court also noted that the girl was in daily contact with her parents by email and WhatsApp, yet she didn't mention anything about the alleged multiple assaults to her parents or anyone else until three months after they allegedly occurred."
