Summary of Case:

"Hans Leipelt was one of the White Rose defendants. After receiving , who along with Marie-Luise Jahn used had distributed the leaflets . After Professor Huber's arrest, Hans Leipelt and Marie-Luise Jahn secretly collected funds for the destitute Huber. While helping the Huber family someone , Leipelt was arrested on October 8, 1943, along with his mother and his sister. His mother died in prison in 1943. Leipelt was tried, convicted and sentenced to death on October 13, 1944, and he was guillotined on January 29, 1945. On September 8, 2009 the German Parliament unanimously overturned all WWII conviction for treason. So the treason convictions of all White Rose participants were overturned. It is also believed that the White Rose participants convictions had previously been legislatively stripped of any legal force in 1983."
