"Wang Lijun was wrongly convicted in April 2016 of unlicensed corn trading. Lijun was sentenced to one year in prison and 20,000 yuan. Lijun appealed, and China's Supreme People's Court reversed his conviction and ordered a retrial for December 2016. In February 2017 the Bayan Nur City Intermediate People's Court announced its verdict that it was acquitting Wang Lijun, on the basis he didn't violate the law because his conduct did not severely damage the market order."
