"Annette Livingston was wrongly convicted in March 2003 of the murder of attorney Shirley Playfair in Kingston, Jamaica in April 2000. She was jailed while awaiting trial. Annette was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 60 years. Two co-defendants were also convicted and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Jamaica's Court of Appeals affirmed Livingston's conviction but reduced her sentence to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 35 years.
