Summary of Case:	"Lo Ramphia (Kristin) was a Thai citizen and co-defendant with her British boyfriend, Jody Aggett. Both were arrested in Bangkok in November 2001, and wrongly convicted in 2003 of manufacturing and possessing ecstasy and sentenced to death for the manufacturing charge and 20 years in prison for possession. The defense of Aggett and Lo was that they only were temporarily staying below the apartment of a person who was manufacturing ecstasy. They were convicted on the basis of what amounted to a false confession written in Thai that Aggett didn't understand and was ordered to sign by his interrogators. After two years on death row their death sentences were commutted to life in prison in 2005. Aggett and Lo were both acquitted on appeal by Thailand's Supreme Court on September 3, 2007. Aggett was released on September 3, 2007. Jody Aggett and Lo Ramphia were wrongly imprisoned for six years. Pregnant when arrested, Lo Ramphia gave birth to their son while imprisoned."
