Summary of Case:	"S. A. M. was wrongly convicted in December 2015 of ten counts of fraud by false representation at Enniskillen Magistrates Court in Northern Ireland. At the time S. M. was a police officer, and his prosecution was based on the allegation that between April 2013 and March 2014 he had falsely claimed travel expenses for travelling between his home and the police station. The expenses were allowed if legitimate, and S. M. claimed that he had in fact made the trips. After his conviction by District Judge Nigel Broderick who believed the prosecution's claim, S. M. was sentenced in January 2016 to serve 200 hours community service and pay £411.74 restitution. S. M. appealed. On December 12, 2016 the Dungannon County Court ordered that S. M.'s appeal be allowed, that the Magistrates Court ruling be reversed, and the complaint against S. M. dismissed."
