"Wayne Malcolm was wrongly convicted in April 2007 of stealing a bucket of nails. Malcolm, who was not represented by a lawyer at his trial, was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment. In July 2007 the Jamaican Court of Appeal ordered his release on bail pending the outcome of his appeal. In February 18, 2008 the Jamaican Court of Appeal quashed Malcolm's conviction. He was wrongly imprisoned for three months."
