The man's defense was she said she was 15, which is the age of consent in Sweden. He was sentenced to prison. On appeal the man's conviction was overturned based on his good faith belief she was of legal age. He sued for compensation, and in October 2008 Sweden’s Chancellor of Justice awarded him 157,000 kronor ($22,500). The man lives in Malmo."
