Summary of Case:	"Salesman A. Manimaran, trader S. Saravanan and security guard K. Perumal were wrongly convicted in July 2015 of murdering N. Sindambaram, 64, chairman of the Ipoh Hindu Devasthana Paripalana Sabah between 11.30pm on Jan 11, 2009, and 2.10am the following day at 759 Jalan Wayang, Buntong, Perak, in Ipoh, Malaysia. On November 29, 2010, the High Court dismissed the the case on the ground the prosecution had failed to establish a prima facie case against the men. However, the Court of Appeal reversed that ruling and ordered the High Court to try the men. After their convictions, the three defendants were sentenced to death on July 15, 2015. The men appealed. On January 20, 2016 Malaysia's Federal Court unanimously overturned the convictions, agreeing with the High Court’s original decision that there was insufficient evidence to support the men's guilt. Justice Md Raus Sharif stated, “Thus, we allow the appeal. Conviction and sentence are set aside.”"
