"Jonathan Manley was wrongly convicted of murdering his 22-month-old son and falsely imprisoned for a year on the basis of expert medical testimony. Manley was sentenced to 12-1/2 years in prison. In 1994 the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal overturned his conviction on the basis of new medical evidence that his son died of natural causes. Manley was released after a year of wrongful imprisonment. Manley was denied compensation. Manley wrote a book about his ordeal, "Enemies Without Case - convicted, imprisoned, innocent", was published in Australia in 1998."
