Mahmood Mattan was wrongly convicted of murder. In 1997 Mattan submitted an application to the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. Mattan's case was referred by the CCRC on 9/23/1997 to the England and Wales Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). On 2/24/1998 the appeals court quashed Mahmood Mattan's convictions. |
