"John Mburu was wrongly convicted of possessing bhang worth Sh5,000. Mburu denied the charge, and discovered that the investigating officer was sleeping with his wife. Mburu appealed on the basis he had been framed by the police officer so Mburu would be out of the way for the officer to carry on with Mburu's wife. On June 15, 2017 the Kenya Court of Appeals quashed Mburu's conviction." |
