Summary of Case:	"Walter D McMillian was wrongly convicted in 1988 of the Nov 1, 1986 murder of 18-year-old dry cleaners clerk, Ronda Morrison in Monroeville, Alabama. McMillian was sentenced to death. The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals reversed McMillian's conviction and death sentence because the prosecution failed to disclose evidence undermining the credibility of the State's three eyewitnesses placing McMillian at the crime scene. One of the State's key eyewitness recanted his statement placing McMillian at the crime scene and the State's two other eyewitnesses split $7,000 in reward money for identifying McMillian as the killer. The Monroe County DA didn't oppose the March 1993 dismissal of the charges against McMillian, conceding he was wrongly convicted. McMillian was released after almost six years of incarceration from the time of his arrest in 1987."
