"George McPhee was wrongly convicted in Scotland of a woman's murder in December 4, 1985. McPhee submitted an application to Scotland's Criminal Case Review Commission (SCCRC) for review of his conviction as a miscarriage of justice. McPhee's case was referred by the SCCRC on January 24, 2003 to the Scotland's Court of Appeal. McPhee was released on bail in 2003 while his case was under review. On December 6, 2005 the appeals court quashed George McPhee's convictions. He was wrongly imprisoned for 18 years." |
