Summary of Case:

"David Milgaard was wrongly convicted of rape and murder in 1970 when he was 17-years-old. Milgaard was sentenced to life in prison. Testing of DNA evidence arranged by AIDWYC cleared him absolutely 5 years later in 1997, and resulted in the arrest of the murderer 28 years after he committed the crime. The Saskatchewan government awarded David Milgaard $10,000,000 compensation in June 1999."
