"Harry Miller was wrongly convicted of robbing a woman at knifepoint in Salt Lake City, Utah, based on the victim's eyewitness identification of him from a mugshot taken when Harry Miller had been falsely arrested for a robbery because he was seen walking near the crime scene. Harry Miller was sentenced to five years imprisonment. An investigation by his appeal attorney's proved that at the time of the robbery Miller was 1,900 miles away recovering from a stroke near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Miller conviction was vacated by the Court of Appeal in May 2007. Miller was released in July 2007 after the prosecution dropped the charges. He was wrongly imprisoned for 4-1/2 years." |
